Tokyo Tower

What a bummer only one day before I climbed the Tokyo Tower the elevator to the highest floor was shut down because a window was broken. But Emi and I had fun anyhow. The view from the second highest floor was good enough. We went all the way to the Sky Tree which is Tokyo's newest and highest tower, we went to the Imperial gardens, the Meiji shrine, Shibuya a place for young people were teenage girls try to out do each other's style with the latest fashion, then to Akihabara were computer and anime geeks live their lives to the fullest, the fish market, and even as far as Disneyland Tokyo and Mount. Fuji...well at least with our eyes and plus there is still enough time to do all those things. One interesting fact by the way is the following: in Tokyo you will find almost everywhere machines that serve cold drinks like water, soft drinks, ice tea and coffee. You will find them on the streets, in the subway and in every building, which is open to the public. Now what happens when there is a really heavy earthquake? Well the machines give out the drinks for free. That way the water supply for Tokyo's 9 million residents is guaranteed.
